Meet Yin and Yang: R2W’s Heartwarming Mascots

Yin and Yang, R2W’s Mascots
Yin and Yang are more than mascots—they’re the spirit of Project: Return To Work Inc. (R2W).
They’ve been winning and winning and winning dog shows for our Guard and Reserve families. And their employers.
Whether greeting military families on Angel Flights or engaging at community events, these lovable companions help us create welcoming spaces for veterans and their families. Their joyful presence inspires trust, breaks down barriers, and brings R2W’s mission to life, one interaction at a time. read more

Student Testimonial
My time at Project: Return to Work has been one of the most impactful experiences of my career so far. As a STEM intern, I was able to develop the content that directly helps veterans and job seekers in their transition to a civilian career, such as creating news posts that showcase success stories and scheduling event posts that help the community come together. By going to dog shows, engaging in heartbeat sessions, and helping to coordinate workshops, I was able to have a close-up view of how every piece of content, every event, and every interaction leads to a positive impact on people’s lives.
I am doing this work because veterans have sacrificed a lot for our country, and it is the least I can do to return a fraction of the debt by assisting them in their transition to civilian careers. This is not just another internship or a line on my resume, but rather, it is a mission that I am very honored to be a part of. When you find work that aligns with your values that creates real changes in your community, you hold onto it. Every post I write and every workshop I help organize is another step closer to connecting veterans with opportunities that they deserve, and it is that sense of purpose that keeps me coming back.
